Accounts & Audit Assistant
Location: Winchester
Main purpose of job: To prepare accounts to review stage and/or assist with audits
Responsible to: Managers
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare accounts from client records for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
- Prepare a comprehensive file for manager review, which is complete with lead and supporting schedules and which is neat and tidy
- Cope with several accounts preparation jobs at any one time whilst maintaining deadlines
- To be familiar with audit procedures & have assisted on audits
- Use of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Line 50, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Be proactive in dealing with clients
- Record time accurately and keep to budgets
- Updating of client profiles on our IRIS system
- Attending at client premises where required
- Preparation of VAT Returns
- Preparation of CIS Returns
- Assisting where necessary with the training of junior staff
