Rothmans Chartered Accountants, one of the South’s leading accountancy firms, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
The firm was founded in 1955 in Winchester by Algy Rothman, who was joined five years later by Geoff Pantall. It has steadily expanded and now has 12 branches across the region, with more than 150 staff and partners.
The firm’s success continues with new offices opened in Southampton and Petersfield during the past 12 months and the creation of its new insolvency arm, Rothmans Recovery Ltd, which has offices in Portsmouth, Salisbury and Bristol.
The 60th anniversary celebrations will include the firm’s annual Business Leaders Lecture, with special guest speaker Sam Dickson, Commercial Director at Waitrose.
The Business Leaders Lectures, aimed at supporting the region’s businesses, cover a range of topics, with speakers from some of Britain’s greatest success stories.
Rothmans also hold a number of popular business seminars throughout the year, including an insightful and entertaining view of the budget proposals in the spring, and an economic update in the autumn.
Other events for staff and clients are being planned throughout the year to mark the firm’s 60 years in business.
Senior Partner, Martin Osborne, said, “Our anniversary celebrates our continuing commitment to providing high-quality services for clients, from individuals to local businesses and international organisations. We helped many of our clients to set up in business and the fact that they continue to trust Rothmans with their affairs is testament to the quality of advice and services that we provide.
“During the past 60 years the firm has looked after generations of families and businesses who rely on our support. We are looking forward to enjoying many more years of partnership with all our clients over the next 60 years and beyond!”
