Rothmans has signed up to take part in Walk Ten, a sponsored event in support of Marie Curie Nurses in the Hampshire area.
Participants will be raising money for the care of people with terminal illnesses and providing support for their families. Every £20 that is raised will allow Marie Curie to provide another hour of care to people in need.
Taking place on Saturday 4th August, the twilight walk is a scenic 10 kilometres around the historic village of Beaulieu and surrounding areas.
Following the walk, participants will be greeted by an array of Indian themed entertainment, including an exotic summer picnic and live music. A spectacular firework display will conclude the evening at 10pm, honouring the Marie Curie Nurses, as this is when many of them would usually begin their night shift.
To date, 114 of Rothmans’ staff have registered their participation and are looking forward to the challenge, as well as helping to support such a worthwhile charity.
Debbie Dawson, Office Manager from Winchester comments; “I will be taking part this year with my two daughters, one of my sons, my husband and my dog! I’m really looking forward to what I’m sure will be a really nice evening, whilst also supporting a charity that does valuable work in my local community.”
In addition, Rothmans has been recognised by Marie Curie as a local partner to the charity.
