The evening after George Osborne announced the March 2016 Budget, more than 100 businesspeople attended Rothmans’ popular Budget Seminar at The Ageas Bowl, Southampton.
In what has become a must-attend yearly event for the region, the full auditorium was once again entertained by guest speaker and tax expert Giles Mooney, who brought the budget alive in his uniquely humorous and informative style. Giles is well known for his ability to analyse the complex detail of the annual budget, alerting people to key points and opportunities for the year ahead.
Business owner, John, commented, 'Another very funny take on the budget with some very good pointers on how to make the most of some of the changes to save money both personally and for my business. Excellent’.
Guests then enjoyed an opportunity to network with fellow businesses at a canapé and drinks reception.
To help businesses with effective tax and financial planning, Rothmans has released a Budget Report with key points, tips and tax deadlines. The report is available to download from here.
The Rothmans tax app is another helpful tool, which includes tax calculators, tables, tips, key dates, and news. Downloadable here.
Giles Mooney can also be watched on the Rothmans Tax TV page, where he simplifies and breaks down specific tax topics.
